Behind the Scene- Missa Bella

"You don't need a reason to pamper yourself" with this goal and dedication in mind she developed some super amazing products. Meet Divya Bharat Malaviya a 25 year old, M.Sc in Biotechnology, young, enthusiastic, multi-talented girl with no business background started her own venture. She also works part-time in the accounts department of a manufacturing unit.
Let's hear from the girl herself how her journey of two years has been till now.

What is the inspiration behind your brand?

It all started with deciding a gift to give to a special friend on their birthday! Like any other gift we wanted it to be surprising, beautiful, fun, special and most importantly something they would not only enjoy and love using but also get benefit from. After brainstorming many ideas and endless search a light bulb was lit and a great idea came to mind unknowingly which was going to be the inception of missa bella. What could be a better gift than a handmade item from a friend? After a lot of trial and error we made the best mani bomb we could and it was prepared to be gifted. The look of amazement on the friend's face was a happy surprise and we took a sigh of relief. After getting a positive feedback on the product it inspired us to make it better and introduce it to people. We wanted to see that smile, that amazement on peoples face while keep the quality of the product top notch. Our products are not only made of the physical ingredients that go into them but every emotion that goes in when you make something special for someone. Creating a product that was amazing to look at, beautiful to smell and great to use was all the inspiration we needed to start our journey. To gift our customers a product that is not only fun to use but posses elements that will benefit them. We believe that one should be pleased by everything they receive i.e. the product, the packaging and most important thing the service / relationship with the consumer! Everything that amazes us, inspires us.

What's the story behind your brand name?

The story is not that complicated. We wanted to make beautiful products for many beautiful people and voila missa bella it was. Stays true to our reason behind making our product while sounding just right!

What kind of people you create your product for?

Anyone who loves to use a product that is as good as it looks!

What was the most challenging part of your journey till now?

The most challenging part was to explain people what mani-pedi bombs are. Most people had not idea what it did or why should they use it. We were sad to learn that people wanted to use something only if it magically benefited them. Also, the world of business and all its aspects were and are still new to us ( as I am from not from commerce field) which made apt communicating and marketing more difficult.

Where do you see your brand two years from now?

We aim to become a well know brand that creates products that are fun to use and good for skin! We hope to reach as far as we can. We are working to add more amazing products to our current list which more people can relate to. Also, as we grow we plan to collaborate with NGOs to help those in need by either donating our products or a certain amount of what we collect, but we hope we can do both!

How do you think your initiative could change the society/industry?

We are always creating products that are good to use yet give you visual and aromatic pleasure. Many people use products without knowing what goes into it. Though use of chemicals and synthetic materials is not all bad but we try to be as natural as possible. We inform our consumers what goes into our products and tell them the significance of the ingredients that go in. We use recycle papers for packaging; it serves two purpose -
1) Efficient packaging which is environment friendly and recyclable and
2) It helps spread environmental awareness every time someone opens their gift! We hope people realize the significance of handmade products. Each product is made with care which is very different from something that is made commercially (just like handmade food is very different from food prepared commercially by machines). The end is the compound result of creativity, knowledge of ingredients, years of practice and love! Handmade products are more expensive than commercial products but it takes more effort and time to master it and bring the creative side in the end result.
